Sunday Sept. 9th: Laura performs as Cousin Molly for Toronto's CITY PARENT Newspaper! Cousin Molly will perform at 11am and 12:30pm at the main entrance of Toronto's ZOO for CITY PARENT Magazine's Family Fun Day! For more info see CITY PARENT Also....note that City Parent will be handing out 8,000 Loot Bags at the Zoo on this day!
Sat. Sept. 15th (daytime): Laura will be a featured performer at The Bradley Fall Fair & Folk Festival in Mississauga. Laura will perform on the main stage at 4pm but will also be taking part in several workshop stage ensemble performances throughout the day. 1620 Orr Rd. Mississauga. Fri. Nov. 9th 8pm -12am: Joe Passion joins Laura for a special reunion duo gig at Lake Affect in Port Credit. 1 Port St. Free Parking near the Marina. Joe on acoustic piano & vocals, Laura on acoustic guitar, harp, congas and vocals. This is going to be tons of fun!

Sun. Feb. 17th: Laura had the honour of performing with Joe Sexton and his Piece of The Rock Band at The Mike Quinn Benefit at The Balmy Beach Canoe Club. Mike was the owner of QUINN'S on the Danforth in the 80's. This was one of the first clubs that Laura, David Hines and Russ Blakely started their path to running thousands of Jam Nights in Toronto. Unfortunatley Mike met with an errant wave in Mexico that left him face down in the ocean with 3 cracked vertabrae. Luckily Mike's son was able to save him from the ocean and after a one day stay at hospital and an emergency flight back to Toronto the family footed a bill of over $50,000.00 It was great to see so many old friends and Mike's family gather together to help them out. It was an amazing day with tears and smiles. Hundreds of people paid $50 a ticket, bought raffle tickets, bidded on amazing silent and regular auction items and generally just kept putting money into the pot. The event was co-hosted by Jeff Chalmers of 925JackFM and City TV's Mark Dailey. Entertainment included comedian Ron James, entertainers Joe Sexton and his Piece the Rock Band, John Prince and Frank Wilks. Mike is recovering in small steps and is gradually regaining the use of his limbs. Mon. Feb. 18th: Laura will be attending OLIFIDDLE at Hughes Room http://www.hughsroom.com Oiver Schroer is 'Canada's Tallest Freestanding Fiddle Player'! ...and he needs your help. Oliver is suffering from Leukemia and his friends and students are gettin together to fundraise for him. Make a donation or come to the concert! OLIFIDDLE is a 2 night presentation: Mon. Feb. 18th and Tues. Feb. 19th at Hugh's Room. See you there Monday!
